Hey y'all just how important is the break-in procedure-- I shot about 250rds through my brand new VEPR 5.45x39 and then it popped into my head that maybe I shouldve broken it in--Ive actually done this with more than one of my guns-- Did I do permanent damage??
Thanx  James

No damage.  Keep shooting, you won't hurt it.  I don;t consider that broken in for an AK.

barrel break-in is EXTREMELY important! i cannot overemphasize how CRITICAL for an ak bbl. to be properly broken in!

why, it's a well known fact that if one doesn't bumpfire the first 500 rounds thru in it in under 4 hours the bbl. has a 90+% liklyhood of falling right off of the damn gun!!!!!

seriously, for the chrome-lined pipe on the modern kalashnikov, there is no recommended break-in procedure.

in anywhere from 15,000 to 40,000 rounds from now, depending on care and habits of usage, your bbl. will be toast.

untill such time comes, you have done no harm to the longevity of your bore.

Hahaha--Cool, I figured it wasnt that big a deal with AKs--This is my 3rd AK and Im real happy with it--The reason I even asked is cuz I literally pulled it out of the box and shot it--I didnt clean, lube, nothing--At 50 yds it was super accurate and shot real smooth
