Saw one of these on a British militaria site for like, $350, but I cant seem to find it now. Said they'd imported a bunch into the US and had no problems getting them in as they comply with BATF demilling standards.

Anybody got a Kastor on their rifle?

This is it.

I would like one, but I can't justify that much money for something that doesn't work.  Not that I have any problem with putting a deactivated GP on an AK for the look, it would just have to cost a bit less.

If they were $200 or less I would probably already have one, if only to get looks at the range.

My gunsmith said he can reactivate it to use Cobray/SWD 37mm shells for like, $75. If there is even a chance that'd be one hell of an AK accessory.

That would be sweet.  If he thinks he can do that then you might consider giving it a go.

On another note, this pic affects me in strange ways:

Know what I mean?

295 pounds huh?

Think they'd still send it to me if I just sent them a fat girl instead? Or how about a box of 3 100lb lead weights instead....they could send me a 5lb dumbell back for my change

Stottman- keep me apprised of your situation, I'll probably get one off you instead.

And finaly- AJer: Yeah, does funny things for me too. Mostly makes me regret not living in a coutry where $500 and another $100 in US $20s to the right folks could get you one of those and all the peace and quiet you wanted to shoot it off your back porch in.

I also remembered that a few years ago I saw a GP30 for sale in a Swiss gunshop. It had been modified to shoot 12ga!

12 gauge out a 6" bbl.???

i want a klystor...but they are damn pricey. btw, russian combat troops seem to love those things.

the only probably I would see is, that it attaches to the bayo lug on the gas block....and as we all know, bayo lugs are nasty evil devices, so how would that attach to a AK without one?

10/19/2003 12:40:51 AM EDT
[#13]
It attaches to the cleaning rod retainer-The bayo lug ears can be ground off. The dummy AK-74 its mounted on now had the lug ears ground off, but it still mounts fine.

I just followed the link. The one for sale on the EE board is sold. I guess we missed out on saving $100.

I can get more, but I have to order 10 to get that price. I set up a group buy for the KCA, and had a few extras.
