Marty I'm picking up one at UPS tomorrow that I ordered from a seller on thr FALFILES board, he posts under the name FWRA (Free World's Right Arm). It is made in Belarus, and it is supposed to be the Rolls Royce of AK mounts. Attaches via the optics rail and has a Weaver base. Supposed to allow use of the irons as well underneath the mount. I'll try to post some pics of it.

DEFINITELY get the mount that attaches to the side rail on your rifle. I've heard that the ones that mount to your receiver cover lose their zero everytime you remove the cover to clean your rifle.

As promised, here is a pic... feels rock solid!

If you are interested, they are being sold by a guy on FALFILES (FWRA is the seller). Mark's email is mpowell@freeworldsrightarm.com

Nice looking mount - a few questions

How much $

How much does it weigh - I assume aluminum ?

How low is it over the top cover

Thanks

$49.95 shipped, maybe weighs 6 ounces, MAYBE! It seems to sit too high on my build gun, but perfectly on my Romanian Romak 2. Irons are cleanly viewed beneath the mount. I would not recommend this mount for scoping, but perfect for red dot type optics.

I also have the part from FWRA (Mark is local) but have nto used it yet. Looks/feels great though. The MTK75 is a good piece with 1" rings are part of the mount.
