Hello.

What can you guys tell me about the Mak-91?

It is supposedly a "National Match" AK variant, but what else can you tell me about it?  How about a fair ballpark price on one? Those of you that own one, how do you like yours?

Thanks for the help

MAK-91 = ChiCom AK

It's not a 'match' gun, it's a Norinco-made post-ban AK, specifically the 1991 successor to the (1990 vintage) MAK-90...

I believe it's the one with the extra long barrel.

I think its the NHM-91, which is basically a regular AK with a 20 inch barrel in place of the standard 16 inch.  They came with the bi-pod also.

Yep. Longer barrel, often a MILLED reciever.

NOT A NHM91, which is a different rifle.

The "National Match" rifles are just 20 inch barreled AKs and like I said, they often have a milled receiver. There are both Preban versions from Polytech and Norinco and the postban Mak91 version.

I had one. It had the longer barell, milled reciever and bipod. I sold it because the reciever is slightly angle cut. You can't put a normal stock on it. Other than that it was a great gun. Very good fit and finish. Much better apearance than the Romanians. I sold mine for $425 still in the box. It had under 750 rounds through it. CB
