Does anyone own the Ak-103 from Ak USA? I was thinking about having one custom made, and then I looked at their site, and they look really nice. Can anyone comment on their reliability, and fit and finish...

these are rifles of good quality. starting with an already well made saiga, the conversion is done with more care than hesse.

still, be certain to inspect for a muzzle brake that is welded on straight. i have seen on example that had crooked ak-74 style brake.

I own one. It is awesome, my favorite gun! It is light and accurate. So easy to shoot!

Let me know if you want any more info on mine and if you have any questions.

What kind of custom stuff did you have in mind?

Chris spends A LOT of time making sure everything is straight. This is one of his big things, making sure everything is lined up. The AK74 muzzle brake will index to wear the notch is cut in it. When the notch gets lined up with the spring loaded lock thing it engages in the cut out.
Mine indexes slighty (not noticeable) to the right. It looks perfectly fine.

The only way it could NOT be straight is if the brake itself was improperly machined.
