So, just a couple of quick questions before I head to work. Got my order from Joeken Firearms yesterday. Ordered 01/25/03, charged for it on 01/27/03, shipped on 01/31/03, arrived 02/05/03. All in all, not a bad turnaround time at all. I had ordered the stuff before I really did a lot of reading here, so I didn't know about stuff like RSA trigger groups, etc. Anyhow, here's my biggest question: I ordered US-made (Hesse, from what the page says) trigger, hammer, disconnector, pistol grip, forearm and muzzle brake). There are no markings on any of these that say "US". I can tell the difference between the parts when they're side by side, and certain things are noticeably different (the pistol grips have a different grip pattern, the forearms a different, etc.). I'll definately keep my receipts so I can say "hey, they're US parts, it's legal!", but given the fact that none of this says "US" on it, how does one tell? Were my rifle ever examined, how would somebody know it's 922r compliant? I'm still going to buy the RSA trigger group for my 74's, because I've heard nothing but good things about it. Is the RSA group marked? Somebody clue me in! |

the rsa parts are marked "made in usa" and are the best quality parts by a long shot. i see your quandry... the k-var parts are marked made in usa, also. hesse...well, you get what you pay for. they are less exspensive...for a reason. by all means, keep a copy of your receipts with your rifle. better yet, sell off the hesse and upgrade to the high quality (and much better looking) k-var furniture. it's stronger, more authentic and adds more valur to your rifle. |
| Here's a story about some FAL followers, and floorplates I got from Hesse a few years ago. They were IDENTICAL to the ones I took out of the mags. I called Mr. Hesse about that, and he replied that I should save the receipt. A lot of good that is, if the feds ever decide to make an example of you!! |
