I saw a used one posted at AK47.net/for sale forum for $445 shipped with a nice sling and four 30 round mags. It appeared to be in great shape.

Bush_Sniper,
That one was a Milled receiver, but with PolyTech parts(Chinese) on it. Not a GT, but it was a very good deal!

This is the rifle I'm being offered in trade for a Polytech M14/S. The owner describes it as a GT SLR 100H with custom laminate furniture. Is it worth trading for a rifle worth $550-$600?

In my neck of the woods GTs are $650, that wood is easily $100. The only thing that concerns me is some GTs had reeeallly bad bores in them, and slightly canted sights. If he would give a 3 day inspection period, I would trade!

Me bad Rot. I looked at it real quick the other day and it looked just like the GT's I have and I did not give it a second thought.

Yes, make sure you get a good light in the bore. I have had two of my four with pitting in them and one was so bad I exchanged it for another.

No, Bush_Sniper, that thing was a steal IMHO! from the pics it looked like the receiver had been modified for the sling swivel as well. If I wasn't "milled heavy", I would have bought it!
