Picking up an AK in the next few days just because I want to have one. I've read that the N-PAP DF is a decent AK but I've read that Century AKS are not so decent. The one linked below has Century listed as the manufacturer but I thought I read that the N-PAP DF was manufactured by Zastava.
Does Century legally become the manufacturer when they import and modify it, or what? So confused. I just want to add a decent and reliable AK to the collection. Looking to get an underfolder and have no plans to modify it at all. Is this a decent AK? Thoughts? http://gunshop.a1tacticalandsafety.com/product.cia-ri2174n-n-pap-df-sa-762x39-1625-301-wood-forearm-underfold-steel-stk-blk Thanks in advance for your opinions. Edit to add: Here's another one. What's the difference in the two linked in my post? http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/zastava-n-pap-underfolder-detail.html?Itemid=0 |

It's a good value for an AK.
Century imports the basic rifle, and puts a few American made parts (flash suppressor, pistol grip...) to make it legally compliant. The only downside is that the barrel is not chrome lined. So as long as you clean it soon after you shoot, it'll be fine. |

Understanding all the varying AK variants and import stuff is tricky. |
