Just picked up my SAM7R today, first time I've even seen an Arsenal in person, and wow this thing is perfect!
This is my fourth AK, my other three are all DDI, but this Arsenal blows them out of the water. The bolt doesn't stick on the hammer, the trigger is amazing, front sight is almost dead centered, safety has perfect tension, you can even remove the cleaning rod and reinstall it!! None of my DDI's can reinstall the cleaning rod without taking off the handguard, all of them have the poor man bolt hold open, two had trigger reset problems, one of them had the safety fall out of the gun when I had the dust cover off... Anyway, I just fell in love with my new AK and wanted to share how awesome it is. |
| Congrats ... I have a SAM7 also. You are correct .Great rifle. Action is smooth as a new baby's ass . I did have front sight block cant where I couldn't zero the rifle . I could have sent it back but corrected it myself . I will say this. The finnish on the Arsenal rifles over all suck .Not in looks but in durability when exposed to solvents . I pretty much stripped my bolt. It was coming off anyway.Just use CLP and your mileage will go farther . Great rifle... Wardawg |

I've seen AKOU's arsenal video with the paint bubbling and flaking off, that thing looked nasty, but I'd rather have a gun that runs good than looks good so I'm ok with it. |
| Awesome I love my ban model sam7r had it a while and still love it. Looks good. I need to dig mine out I was thinking mine was r but I think back then it was SAM7S for side rail in the ban days I'll check tomorrow to be sure. yep I was right back in the ban days it was a SA M-7S For scoperail. |

Nice purchase. I've never bought an Arsenal I didn't like, both milled and stamped.
I have the right side-folding version (SAM7SF) and still find it to be my favorite "modern" full size AK. It sounds like you've had a few minor issues with your other three non-Arsenal AK's. You could always sell a couple of them to fund another Arsenal variant, like an underfolder or something. |

Ok, so I also just purchased a couple of these, these are the first AK's I've ever purchased. I want to replace the stock with a , Magpul stock, do I need to be careful about which one I purchase so that it will fit? Magpul states their stocks do not fit milled receivers, although you may be able to modify to fit. Brief searches shows conflicting information, hopefully someone here knows first hand. I will say that I greatly like the standard poly stocks and replacement isn't necessary. I had an MOE on my stamped ak but replaced it with a bonesteel galil folder, I do not miss the MOE stock. All 3 of my milled are warsaw length poly and I have no plans to replace them. Cheekweld, fit, and comfort of MOE AK stocks are just fine, but so are the standard poly stocks and MOE is different, not necessarily an upgrade. |
