Nice! That is pretty hard core you really got on that girl haha.. Glad he fixed her up..my brother Inlaw and I pushed the pins out of a early production dmr from rifle dynamics built on a saiga 308 rifle. The front sight tower was kick pretty far to the right. So much so that you were about 8 in left at 100 when the pin was maxed out. We pushed the pins out and hours later a cutting torch and cheater bars.....couldn't get it lined up... We were about to wrap a chain on it and use the trator when.... I took a breath... Used my brain and called rifle dynamics.... I got this gun second hand and it was a early production... They called me back and they didn't have records of it being there's..... But but a smith there remembers it....needless to say that was a year ago and it is still there so I am assuming it musta been a bitch haha... Hopefully some day it will return hahah....
Anyways nice ak looks good... And thumbs up to the ak smith.... |

Wow, OP you must be a pretty dang strong dude to bend that barrel, holy cow...
FYI to all reading, you don't need to remove the FSB on a de-fanged MAK to get the barrel threaded, no gunsmith needed either, CNC Warrior sells a kit to do it yourself in 1/2x28, it's super easy to do. Or just borrow tools from Nictra.

Yeah, I used the press at work in our Maint shop... I think the Bulgy FSB was a little undersized and when I was hitting the foot switch to bring the two holes in line, it hung up on the larger diameter shoulder and I thought I could push it down a Hair more... Originally that's what I was going to do, and I bought a 1/14mm LH die to thread it, but their was not a enough metal, So I bought a 1/28" RH die but then I screwed the Pooch on replacing the FSB, so then it was time to cut my losses and let a pro take over. |
