Hi, I picked up a Romy G.  The front sight is canted. Its shooting about 5-6 inches to the right @100 yrds.I checked it with 2s squares
its off.  Does anyone know a gunsmith that can fix this?  I watched a few utube videos. There seems to be different ideas on how to do it.
If any one has a proven method I am all ears.  This is my first AK
I don't want to screw up the rifle. I am in N East Ohio but shipping it is not a problem.
Thanks for any help

Did you drift the front sight over? You know its adjustable right?

Yes...if you can drift the front sight and zero it...the rifle is in spec and fine.

I have a front sight tool from a SKS.  I had to move it all the way to the  left.  It  still will not zero.

People have posted how to push the pins out using a vice and small torx or hex bits.

Once that's done you can try to get it straight, then drill and re-pin slightly larger. You might have to heat it or otherwise use some muscle.

I think they really jam things on in Romania.

My G barrel pin was horrible trying to get that thing out. Much much harder than a Bulgy and a Polish kit barrel pin. I used more than 12 tons, that's for sure. And it let loose with a Loud Bang.

My G has a mildly canted FS, but I can zero it, and there's some room for more adjustment so it's staying where it is. I don't want another struggle.

Can you post a clear pick so we can see how bad it is?

Then it needs to be straightened.  Punch the pins...move the fsb and zero it...drill oversize (1/8 I think) and repin.

A vice, drill, hammer, punches and a couple drill bits.

Center the sight post, drift the pins out, sight the rifle by moving the entire sight base w a soft face hammer. Mark it. Drill it slightly oversize. Pin it with a couple cut off drill bit ends.

I managed to do it, it can't be that hard.

You said it was shooting right. Moving the front sight left made it worse - you have to move the front sight OPPOSITE the direction you want to move the POI. 6" at 100 yds would not be a big correction from where the sight post originally was.

I was wrong.  The sight is as far to the left as it can go. Shooting at a 10" square steel plate I have to aim the front post  just to the right of the edge of the plate to hit it.
I got the rear pin to move.  The front one is tight.  It does not want to move.  I heated it up and put some PB Blaster on it.  I will see if I can find a press. Thank you everyone for the help.

There is a trick you can use to tell if something is canted; get in front of a mirror in bright light and aim the sights at the reflections of the sights. Everything should line up. If the front sight base is canted, it won't be possible to line up with the front sight post in the center of the sight picture.

Well I got the pins out.  I squared it up with 2 squares and the receiver on a level surface. I watch about every video on Utube. It was off about a 1/8''.
It moved pretty easy.  Cut 2 drill bits and used them as new pins.  I live I Suburbia so It will be a little while before I can go zero it in.
Thank you everyone for your help.
