I'm considering selling my Romy G screw build, built on an NDS-1P receiver for a Vector Arms Polish Underfolder built on an ITM receiver.

Any thoughts on the Vector? I understand that the ITM is only selectively heat-treated, but uses 1.6mm sheet metal.

ITMs were sold by Ohio Ordnance Works. I don't think they are 1.6mm, but the standard 1.0mm. I'd pass on anything with an ITM receiver, much better options these days.

Looks like AK GURU is saying that they're .048 thousandths (1.24mm).

I haven't heard of any failures due to the heat treating method OOW uses.

I've had my polish vector itm underfolder for several years.  No receiver, rivet or function problems w/ about 2k down the bbl, but sights so canted and couldn't be knocked in line so I put a red dot on it.  Might get around to fixing some day.  IIRC it does have the thinner sheet receiver.

If condition is OK it seems like a good trade to me.

Vector started with the ITM receivers, then Arsenal USA, Armory USA,  Elk Ridge, NDS then their own.  ITM used to all there was back in the day.  I've had two of them on the ITM receivers with no problems.  Only problem I've seen is the holes in the receiver for the safety are punched a little off spec so usually the selector does not close perfectly evenly with the top cover.

If it's one of their number matching Polish kits, it should be a good one.

The ITM receiver was based off the AK74 receiver, so if you have an AK47 built on an ITM receiver, when you move the safety up to the "safe" position, there will be a gap between the top of the safety lever, & the bottom of the top cover.  GARY

Apparently, it's about 10+ years old and so the numbers are not matching. What problems could the rifle have if the numbers don't match, headspacing, etc.? Is there anything I should check if I've already determined that the numbers don't match?

Odd, Vector's Polish builds from back then we're usually all matching.  Are all the parts mismatched?

I didn't look at all the parts, I just looked at the bolt and the front trunnion. I couldn't find a stamped number on the bolt, but there was one that looked like it was etched in by hand, but it didn't match the trunnion number. The trunnion is polish with the circle-11 and is dated 1977.

I have a vector polish underfolder with a nds reciever that I bought about 10 yrs ago. Like another poster above my front sight is canted, I should have sent it back since it had a 5 yr warranty but never bothered with it.
When I first joined vectors were popular and well regarded in here
