I need to re-zero my AK after swapping the front sight post. It will be awhile until I get outdoors, for now I only have access to an indoor 25 yard range. Since 25 yards is not the same as 25 meters I cant do the standard 25m zero that mostly everyone does. That being said, with my rear sight slider on 1 and shooting at 25 yards, should I be purposely trying to group 1" or so lower then POA to allow for the extra climb it would have at 25 meters?

that's what I do, then confirm at 100, when you can.

I use the 21 meter zero (approx 23 feet) with sights on 200 for 7.62 and 300 for 5.45.

This target.

25 yards = 22.86 meters
21 meters = 22.9659 (23) yards

The error is going to be minimal. If you only changed the post, then it should just be a elevation adjustment anyway, so I'd get it well centered at the range that your range allows and confirm later at 100 meters, as other responders have said.
