Is it normal wear for the top rails, right at the beginning of them where you can remove the bolt carrier to wear down some? Here is a picture.

| I am wondering if this is normal wear for around 2000 rounds, and if it is going to stop or are wasr 10 receivers known to be poorly heat treated? I find it hard to believe that the receiver be poorly heat treated for nothing else has changed in shape or structural integrety wise. |

I just went threw this with the one I built
There is to much up and down play when the bolt is all the way back ... its trying to go up and out and rubbing that edge. Mine was coming out and jamming I had to weld the end of the bolt carrier where it contacts the spring guide to build it up higher ... there’s other ways to do it but that was the easy way for me |

| If proof that it does in fact wear see picture above for proof. If wanting proof about rails being cut by the builder to an out of spec measurment google is your friend. Back to the tech stuff I am curious if this wear does stop and won't affect function or get worse. I already got an answer that it was normal and fine but I would also like opinions of others as well if that is OK. You see I do not know a whole bunch about aks so I appreciate your help. |
