What's the bore diameter of an AK47? I am building a Form 1 can for my WASR-10 and want have my machinist get me a brass rod I can stick in the barrel to check for baffle alignment. I figure the threads are not concentric so I will bore out the baffles untill they don't touch the rod. If the rod has a tight fit in the bore I will be able to get the smallest holes possible while preventing baffle strikes. |

Read here first. Easier and cheaper, also bore diameter may vary a little. Note that I had to use different rods for the two guns. Just get a couple drill rods about the right size.
