I recently purchased an Arsenal 107cr and would like to cut the barrel to 14.5 and pin/weld a griffin armament ak flash comp. I was wondering the best place to send this to have it done. Would I have to remove the barrel myself before i send it, or can i just send the entire gun? Thanks!

if you can remove the barrel yourself and send it to ADCO would be the best.

A couple of years ago, I was in the same boat. Several members here managed to convince me to send in a Form 1, and SBR it. I spent $200 for the stamp, a few bucks for an instant bluing pen, borrowed a Brownells crowning kit from another member here, bought the correct cone booster, and waited a few months. When the stamp came in, I spent about an hour in my garage and poof!...Instant AK-104 style gratification.
So, I must ask you... Does your state permit SBR's? Hmmmm?
ETA: I did also spend 20 bucks to have a local laser engraving company (acculazer) add my info to the receiver.

See if a 14mm wrench will fit on the barrel. If it does you should be able to cut threads without pulling the barrel. I did this with my old 106cr. I think the 107 barrel is thicker, though.

Yeah my state allows sbrs. I have a 556 sbr. Kinda wanted to stay away from NFA with this gun though in case I want to take it out of state for classes. Didn't want to deal with all the paper work. It is a good idea though and I may eventually SBR it.
