Hey guys. I've always been an AR guy (and still have one), but I picked up my AK this week. I'm fairy new to them. I owned a crappy WASR several years ago for a couple weeks. The magazine well was nasty and every mag was a wobble fest. Sights were all crooked, so I sold it. I'm much happier with my new one.
I traded my old DPMS for this... 
I'm guessing this 93 symbol might be the year? Or would it be older/newer? 
It also came with this goofy red dot with instructions in Russian. I got 2 metal mags that fit, one orange plastic one, and 3 that say 'made in Croatia' that don't fit at all. Also came with a ugly thumbhole stock he said came with it. 
I can't wait to shoot this thing. I paid $900 for my DPMS, do any of you think I got an ok deal? I'm hoping I at least broke even. Thanks in advance. |

Nice Maadi with a nice stock set. Side rail is not original to the rifle.

| Ah, well it seems I got screwed on that deal. Oh well. I bought the dpms last year and probably overpaid for it. I probably would've been lucky to sell it for $700. I'm not too upset about the Kobra. I'm not too fond of how high it sits anyway. I ordered an Ultimak gas tube rail last night, hopefully that will let me mount a real optic soon. |
