[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AK Side Rail Question

I am trying to identify this siderail mount for my AK. I am new to the AK and have tried a couple mounts but none of them even come close to fitting.

Those PAP side rails will accept both SVD and AK mounts, but not necessarily all versions of either type. Side rail height on the receiver is non-standard (higher than normal) also.

To keep it short, I would go with a RS Regulate AK-310 base and the RS upper mount of your choosing and call it a day.

Well, it's a Yugoslavian/Serbian variant. In my own ignorance, I thought that that most mounts designed for the Rus/Bulg/Rom rails were supposed to fit.

That's a Yugo side rail, like what comes on the M21 or M70. I think the BP-02 (SVD version) can fit with some work.

With some work. Guys who have tried it over on the AK Files say the SVD BP-02 does not clear the top cover as delivered.
