Hi all,

I'm just starting to look into the world of AK's and I had a question about 922r compliance.
This rifle says it's a Czech model but also that it has a U.S.-made receiver and barrel.  Does the U.S.-made receiver exempt it from 922r since the serialized part is not imported?  Is this the case with most AK's you would buy in America?

Thanks for your knowledge

US-made receiver and barrel do not exempt it from 922(r) but do count as domestic parts when trying to get the imported parts count down to 10 or less.

However, Century's already taken care of your 922(r) parts count for you on those rifles, so nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the quick response!

When they say it is a "Czech" model, which parts are actually Czechoslovakian?  Furniture, dust cover, trunion...?

It used to be a Czech rifle, but was then demilled to destroy the receiver and imported as a parts kit without the barrel (which is banned from importation now).  Century assembled it back into a 922(r) compliant rifle with a US receiver and barrel, and probably fire control group and pistol grip.
