What are considered some of the AKs in 7.62 that have a good brand reputation for being made well at a good price?
The general opinions I am coming across are Arsenals are overpriced for what you get (but well made) and then you have your WASRs and Centurys that seem to get poo-poo'd as low grade. |

And maybe the best link of all: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_4_64/141256_The_AK_Buyer_s_Guide___A_Beginner_s_Guide_to_the_AK_Platform__ask_all_new_AK_questions_in_here_.html
The M10 is a nice compromise of price and performance, I believe Atlantic has them on sale for $599 |

Depends on what rifle from Century you are referring to. Their yugos are damn good quality. |

Arsenals aren't cheap but in their case you get what you pay for...a high quality AK that you will never have to explain to anyone including yourself. As was mentioned above an M10 is a good value for what you get. WASRs you would need to inspect before you buy as many have some quality issues especially canted sights. They will still go bang every time, however you might experience some frustration with minute of man accuracy if the sights are whacked. If you are considering a specific AK post it up and I'm sure you'll get a few opinions on it.

| I have a M 10 among my collection of AK's and consider it the absolute best value out there bar none. Hell I'd buy another if they came in 5.45x39 ! The Serbian N-PAP is another winner, great construction w/.059 thick receiver and excellent build quality but it's heavy. |
| Yugo's. Are being thrown together with all the demand. Arsenal is a top notch AK. As for good parts with good factory QC YOU are still able to get a Draco from Century. It is all Romanian factory arsenal built. At around $500. Now is tb e time to buy AR as supply is high and prices are good. |
