I have a Polish underfolder kit and a recently purchased Nodak spud receiver for my underfolder build. Of course, I plan on sending this off to a professional to have built. But I have a question that concerns me. Is this going to be a problem?

Notice that there are NO holes in the receiver to match with the Trunnion for the rivets.

Is this going to be a major issue?

Non issue for a professional.

I could have sworn my AK74 receiver I got from Nodak a few years ago had the holes already there on the receiver.

Some do, but sometimes they don't match the kit.

You can order a pre drilled receiver for a little extra money. That's probably what you bought last time. You have nothing to worry about.

That would have been what Nodak calls their " EZ " receiver. They pre-drill the holes which makes for an easier build unless the holes don't line up which happens sometimes. The receiver you have is good to go. A good smith will have the proper tools to drill the holes. If you ever get into building your own you can buy a Trunnion Rivet Hole Drilling Fixture from AKbuilder.com
