Couple Nice 100yrd groups.

Game changer was an awful marketing name, but really at $1300 it's maybe the finest Ak for the money. Especially where the market is for high quality AKs like SGL 21 and 31's.

I'd like to get a proper Bulgarian muzzle device for it as well and a nice 4x optic.

Awful name (game changer), fantastic rifle.

A friend is a ffl dealer back in Virginia. He made me a good deal.

Any cheek bite?  How's the longer LOP feel?  Did you find yourself riding the safety at all while shooting?

It's surprising.  Been out for 6 weeks now and a decent amount of folks bought it but there's not much feedback on it yet.

Very nice shooting joe.

How did the wife like shooting it?

I'm working on a youtube video review now.

The longer lengths of pull is nice. I didn't even notice the safety in the new location, but works great. Just wish it was reversed. the stock did not bite me at all, but I can see where that might be a complaint for some.

I had read that they are not selling as fast as they thought so there may not be but a few hundred out in people's hands.

I broke it in without her. My range is much easier to deal with and shoot on mid week. I took a long lunch and did some shooting. Was pleasantly surprised how good this rifle feels and shoots

I managed a few 3 shot cool bore groups of 1.25" +- when i really slowed down and took my time.

A nice 4x Russian optic would certainly help my poor eyesight.

Really can't say enough good about this rifle. The marketing department at Arsenal really stepped on their own Dicks.

Between my job working me like a Hebrew slave, and a recent vacation, I havn't had time to shoot mine yet. I expect to like the longer length of pull, as I like NATO-length stocks. But living in a cold climate, I knew I would have to wrap the metal stock in 550 paracord. When shooting any steel-stock AK in the winter (like a Krink), the metal-to-check contact literally burns your skin. I kinda wish the factory produced a left-to-right swivel cheek pad like on the Vepr 12 folding stock shotguns. Regarding reviews, there are 2-3 on You Tube.

They feel more like commercials then reviews . unfortunately

Preciate the input.  Like sloppyjoe said, those few reviews that came out around the time of release were more like commercials.  I've just been waiting for a couple regular guy range reviews.

I really wanted to like it.  Not a fan of the externally placed folding mech (or the left-side safety truth be told) but there's a lot else to like about this rifle.

Well look for my regular guy review. It will be up tomorrow night.

I get the review thing, allot of guys have gotten really more like paid actors to produce the vids lol.  No offense to the op but its hard to give an unbiased review when you have $$$ into the thing.  I do look forward to seeing what you put out though.

Lol, I think it's hilarious that K-Var released these again. I spit beer out of my nose when I saw them listed for sale. I had one of the super, duper "rare" ones K-Var "only got 50 of" a few years back. I bought it used for $900 at a gun shop and sold it some time later for $2K. Nice gun, but the stock is weird to me.

Yeah, its definitely an acquired taste. But the fact that it folds to the right allowing the user to keep a side-mounted optic attached while folded is nice.

i know what you mean. when your invested, you'll defend something even if wrong to death.

but i do have some critizisms of this rifle and will adress them. mostly little nit picky things. so far i have only been on the range for an hour with it. if i can get to the mountains this sunday i can do a little more run and gun or drill type stuff. but i usually have to wait until winter when all the campers and hikers are more scarce.

it never fails that i will drive an hour off the highway into what i think is a remote portion of the cascades and 10min later some hippy hikers come out of the trees and call the forrest service etc. on me.

I got a chance to shoot a SAM7SF recently and was very impressed..  One thing I noticed was the AK74 style brake cuts recoil alot compared to standard muzzle devices or the one on the SLR101S.  Accuracy was similar to OP's as well.  I personally like the Arsenal triggers.  I think it's a great rifle.

Nice video. I want one even more now.

What's the US parts count and my options for wood handguards?

i modified a plum hand guard from a stamped rifle to fit the milled in about 10min with a small file and jewlers saw.

if you have the patience and guts you can buy a bulgarian lower hand guard and trim the wood insert to fit very easily. as for the top guard its simply a matter of removing the plastic and inserting the wood top guard.

i donated the gastube from the SAM7SF to my SGL21 and put a Wood Top guard on it and swapped the ultimak from my SGL to the SAM7. works out much better now.

before,,

after,,,

922r parts

US made components includes the pistol grip, the upper and lower handguards, the muzzle brake, the hammer, the disconnector, the magazine body, the magazine follower, and the magazine fl oor plate.

the actual trigger is forged bulgarian and feels buttery smooth. more like a tapco g2 rather then a US made 2 stage that comes in the SGL's

Thanks.

So modifying a set of wood palm swells shouldn't be an issue?  I guess I'm stuck with IWD for 922r. God I hate that stupid law.

And thanks again for that video.  I think I'm going to get one.
