They are not all that rare. The magazines are hard to come by. They are very well made AK's just like the 56s. They seem to go for less than the 56s 7.62x39mm models. Mine destroys brass, so steel cased .223 is the ammo of choice for it. I paid $300 for mine in 1989 with 15 30rd mags. I was 18 years old at the time and my dad thought I was an idiot for buying it at the local gunshow.

.223 Norincos can be found everywhere. Nobody really wants them.

I had one, it was unreliable.  Traded it for a Saiga 12 & never looked back.
