| I replaced the wood stock on my WASR10/63 with a Black Laminate wood stock set from Timbersmith. I am a lefty, so I want to have the sling swivels on the RIGHT side of the stock and I want 1 1/4 inch swivel for the Israeli sling I prefer. So far all of the AK-style swivels for mounting on a wood stock using 2 wood screws I have found are one inch. Any Ideas? P.S. I did the front of the gun with a Uncle Mikes Barrel Band swivel, which works great. Thanks for any help with this. |

I'm not sure what you're looking at, most all AK sling swivels that attach with two screws are for 1 1/4" standard AK slings.
The standard AK sling is actually about 1 5/16" wide. Most any place that sells AK parts will have these standard swivels. These are inletted into the stock, but it only requires a shallow slot to get the base into the wood. http://www.k-var.com/shop/AK-129.html http://aa-ok.com/sling-swivel-w-screws-for-standard-1-1-4-wide-military-slings.html http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-forend-parts/swivel-parts/swivel-studs/rear-sling-swivel-assembly-prod42240.aspx |
