I replaced the wood stock on my WASR10/63 with a Black Laminate wood stock set from Timbersmith. I am a lefty, so I want to have the sling swivels on the RIGHT side of the stock and I want 1 1/4 inch swivel  for the Israeli sling I prefer. So far all of the AK-style swivels for mounting on a wood stock using 2 wood screws I have found are one inch. Any Ideas? P.S. I did the front of the gun with a Uncle Mikes Barrel Band swivel, which works great. Thanks for any help with this.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, most all AK sling swivels that attach with two screws are for 1 1/4" standard AK slings.
The standard AK sling is actually about 1 5/16" wide.

Most any place that sells AK parts will have these standard swivels.  These are inletted into the stock, but it only requires a shallow slot to get the base into the wood.

The sling is set-up to be on the LH side because the charging handle is on the RH side. If you sling in such a way that the charging handle is to the body, that thing will nearly dig a hole in your back. Couldn't you just sling it on either shoulder?
