Anyone interested in a Keymod Freefloat handguard similar to the Noveske NSR for their AK?

Maybe.
Now one has mentioned making a Keymod forearm for a ak yet or even a free float.

I would be terribly interested to see how it was mounted to accomplish "free float" on an AK...

As would I.  Won't believe it until I see detailed views of it.

Didn't Krebs put together a keymod forearm for the VEPR?

Lets say you can free float an AK.

think the benefits would be there like on an AR or other platform?

Also the piston still makes contact with the front gas block, so it would negate some of the gained accuracy.

I have a keymod for my AR and hate it. Wouldn't bother with one for an AK

Keymod is the worst. Ugly too. I wouldn't get one for an AK.

Free floating an AK will do little to close up groups. The flex point is right at the gas block.

Would likely be a waste of R&D, a free floated handguard probably won't do much for the AK, but I could be wrong.

I think the key with the free float is to have the gas tube also integrated into the handguard.  It might not help a huge amount but it would be interesting to compare the two.
