My rear trunion is canted... The action is smooth as butter but it is definitely canted big time. rifle fires just fine but I would have to heat up the rear sight and bend it about 10 degrees. It is an underfolder and I do not have a ride optics mount.

Here is my idea:  I love my wood furniture so no ultimak for me. plus co witnessing with the canted sight would drive me up the wall. Im thinking the midwest industries mini dot mount.  Would I be able to cant it to normal and have a successful optic?

buy an RPK style adjustable rear site. You should be able to adjust it so it's on. It may also be your rear site leaf. I've had some that are messed up. Is the rear site block drilled wrong maybe? Perhaps a pic showing the cant.

Here is your answer, about a $60 fix though.

Have you adjusted the windage drum on the front sight? Is it all the way over on the left or right already?

If not, get this - http://www.amazon.com/NcStar-Front-Sight-Ajustment-TAK/dp/B000TN1QVU/ref=pd_sbs_sg_3

Do not get the UTG windage tool.

The rear trunion is the thing that the stock is mounted in. I guess you're saying the trunion (the thing the rear sight block mounts to that also holds the barrel) is mounted in the receiver canted? I don't know about that - but I guess anything's possible. How about some pictures or better description of what you think is canted and how it affects sighting in.

I just set up a plum line to get a perfect line from the front to the rear if the rifle. The front sight is fine and the rear sight trunion is just fine as well. Its the holes that the leaf sight slips into... Never seen anything like it.

Long story short I dremeled the hole a little bit to make the left pin sit up a little farther. Drifted the front sight back to center and it's dead on. I have a new windage adjustable sight coming in but it looks like I fixed it. Just had to add a little character and some birch wood Casey super blue

I've had to do that fix before too. I have a small round file that I use, adds less character lol
