Is it possible to add a side folding stock to a nds-2 receiver? I want to use a aks-74 style triangular stock.

From a naked NDS2? Sure, but it'd be easier to start with NDS-2SF, which has all the holes drilled out already and the pistol plate welded on. If from a regular old NDS2:

Here's a link to a guy on these boards who did it himself. Beautiful work I might add:

So yes, it's possible and commonly done, but it's quite a bit of work. You will need to modify (cut) the receiver to install the side-folder trunnion. You also need to cut the front left-hand side of the receiver and modify the front trunnion to install the latching hook for the stock.

Smiths generally charge in the neighborhood of $200 for doing the work alone. Genuine Izhmash folder hardware (5.5mm pin) is another $200-$250.

You can get a triangle folder with all the hardware from AK-Builder for $175. It's made in Taiwan, but it's an exact clone of the 4.5mm hinged Bulgarian folder currently in use and made of quality steel.
There is a guy on AK Files that will do the install for cheaper than anywhere else I have seen and he does excellent work, user name Esteps_Guns. He is pretty backed up on work now, so sometimes takes a while to respond.
