All,

I have what I believe to be 1,400 rnds of 7.62x39 ammo.  I have attached a picture (there are two sealed cans).  This ammo was given to me and I would like help identifying it and also an idea of price if I were to sell it.  From what I understand it was purchased back in the 90's maybe even 1990 and has sit ever since.  Please see pic.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

18 to 20 cents a round. Any more than that, it would be better to buy the new production ones.

Is it definitely 7.72x39???  Any idea who the manufacturer is?  Is it steel cased, any way to tell without opening up the can?

It's Russian 7.62x39 and most definitely steel cased. Hard to say if it has corrosive primers.

The year is 1986, so most likely corrosive.

I know this is off topic but I have to ask, what is the easiest
way to open that damn can?  My last experience was....messy.

I use a hammer and chisel.  So quick and easy.  I prefer it to the can openers.
