| Is it possible to tap out the rear sight pin with a punch or does it have to be pressed out with a press? |
I posted about my rear being canted last month. The whole leaf is bent to the left (looking from the rear) which makes me have to drift my front sight way to the right. I thought about pounding it with a hammer to bend the ears of the leaf, but just decided it is what it is, and the front sight is adjustable for a reason. When it is not able to be zeroed by adjustment, then you have a problem.

The pin can be pushed out with a punch.
For directions on how to correct this, read this post on correcting gas block cant. Correcting canted front or rear sights is done using the same techniques. When moving the sight base, be careful not to bend or deform it. make sure to use a penetrating fluid like Kroil and give it a few days to soak in. Make sure you remove the actual sight and the sight leaf spring before working on it. : http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_4_74/145888_Gas_block_canted_on_WASR_10.html |
