I'm on the hunt for a stock for my MAK, and wanted to make sure my tang is/isn't longer than a standard Ak.  Can you guys give me some measurements from the rear of the receiver, to the rear of the tang. Any help is greatly appreciated.

::edit:: if you don't mind could it be in inches, and please list what type of AK it is.

Thanks, that appears to be very close to the size of my MAKs.

I know for a fact that one of my MAKs had a ridiculously long tang, and it caused me to have to modify a KVAR stock. I had to use a dremel to make the tang channel longer.

The tang is the normal size, but I believe you would also want to check the spacing between the 2 holes on the tang.  GARY

VLTOR claims their stock adapter will fit my MAK, but CAA says their aluminum model will not. CAA does have a polymer one I'm sure I could make work, even if the tang is different.

Chinese stocks are about 2mm longer than the euro. versions. You'll also have to shave down the stock a bit where it fits into the receiver since the chinese receiver is 1.5mm thick instead of the euro. pattern 1mm receiver. Just off the top of my head info, sorry I don't have it in inches since I keep AK info in metric since that what was used to build them.
