ok ive got the black rifle disease and now im going AK ...
Romanian m10-762 or Siaga arsenal with a side folding stock WHY? |

As an FYI, Arsenal doesn't deal with the SGL line anymore, only the SLR line.
FIME Group took over the SGL line of rifles. The M10 is a good rifle. However, I would personally buy an Arsenal over the M10. The fit and finish will be better and you are getting a receiver that was built for double stack mags rather than being opened up here in the U.S. Plus, getting an Arsenal with a side folder gets you that most excellent poly or triangle folder, which are quite expensive to buy and have installed if you were to want it on a rifle that doesn't already have it. Though, if you are wanting to save some money the M10 is a solid option that will go bang just like any other good AK will. |

FYI the M10 is directly imported original to the US. Colorado don't open to make it double stack as they come double stack to the US. I think you are wrong here. Over on akfiles there was just a thread that mentioned this and there were pictures showing different mag well cuts on different M10s from being opened up. EDIT: Here's a picture of a M10 mag well, definitely never seen a factory mag well that looks like this. If it works, it works, but I would be extremely surprised if this was done by Cugir. http://s13.postimage.org/lmivkfdpz/055.jpg Any AK type rifle being imported into America must be in the single stack configuration. They are opened up and de-banned here in the U.S. |

Get the Arsenal SLR model. It will cost more but it will be worth it. If you just don't give a shit, get the Romanian. I prefer quality weapons, I own Romanians but own more than a few Arsenals as well. It's your money. +1! Bulgarian SLR rifles are top notch. I LOVE my SLR-105's, and the folding SLR-107FR's are also incredible. The quality and value are outstanding. |

Quoted: I just bought a new arsenal SGL-21 with the fime markings and love it. its the same gun just a different seller. |
| im the opposite here, i just didnt give a shit about paying alimost 1k, for a converted saiga/arsenal and really dont give a shit if its made in russian and have those markings. im cheap i buy cugir type variants and i bet you my cugir type aks, though its not pretty as the saigas/arsenal but i bet it will go toe to toe againts the more expensive saigas/arsenals at almost half the price....YMMV |

I wouldn't sell my wasr 10/63 for nothing in the world to be honest. I love my wasr as much as the others. |

Why pay $900 for the Arsenal AK (yes it is better looking, fit & finish etc) vs the M10 that is $569 right now at AIM. Just remember your AK is your biker chic.....not your prom queen. Don't pay prom queen prices for a biker chic. I would buy the M10. just my .02 ![]() |

I think every ak has its own charm and you will love whatever you get, but you might think about getting a 106 since you have other rifles probably in the same caliber.
After owning many different kinds of ak's I have realized I really prefer the smaller caliber ak's. I feel there just more fun to shoot(7.62 is alot of fun every now and then) regularly because they seem to have almost no recoil but still have all the charm of the 47. Also you can shoot at distance much easier if you need to. |

I'd like to think AKs are prom queens that happen to like bikes. You know - goody two shoes and pretty on the outside AND über badass on the inside. The kind all guys wish their girl would do.
