Maybe should have put this in the maintenance section, but I thought I would get more exposure here. I have a relatively new AMD-65 with about 50 rounds down the tube. I popped the dust cover the other day, and noticed small metal filings lying on the bottom of the receiver, not alot just afew. So I was thinking about flushing the receiver with some Ballistol mix and cleaning and lubing. What's the ratio of Ballistol and water mixture used for this? Also, is it critrical that I get this cleaned up before shooting again? Thank you.

I'd just spray it out with water and dry it with an air compressor then do a normal lube.

Though, I would also figure out where the metal shaving are coming from, seeing as it may be your rifle is going to self destruct on you.
Any abnormal wear on anything, like the rails or bolt carrier?

Kinda like finding metal shavings in your oil  pan. That can't be good.

If there are no visible marring marks or scratches , the metal shavings are probably from when the magazine well was opened up. I would just wipe it down and get cotton swabs and brushes to remove the shavings because getting them out usually requires physical contact not chemicals. If you know how to remove the fcg  you should

That's what I figure it is.  I have no idea if the AMDs are imported as single stack or whatever, but I know WASRs are full of metal shavings from when the mag well is opened up.
