Yep. Pretty standard affair. Get an akm set, remove existing, replace with new (some fitting is almost guaranteed to be required) and screw in. you'll need wood screws. Also, the gas tube handguard can be a pain. Sandpaper is your friend.
Or you could go traditional poly. Whatever you want there. |

ok...any suggestions on where to start? i dont know what fits this rifle... akm, is that short for something? |

If you want to sell any of the takeoff parts shoot me a PM or email I have been wanting to bubba a Ak for a while now and these parts all together would be a perfect package for my tactical Ak experiment id be willing to get rid of the hand guard and NC star scope. as far as the butt stock and tube, the stock itself is incomplete. the cheek rest is missing some screws and a compartment cover. the stubby is not for sale. let me know what you want and how much your willing to pay shipped. |

I'm all for enhancing a Kalash for modern gunfighting, but that is just cheap tacticool crap. I would leave the rail and stubby grip, and remove everything else. Maybe replace the stock with an Arsenal polymer stock? No, don't even go there. Take those rails off!!! My definition of an AR wanna-be: - M4 collapsible stock - QUAD RAILS - Forward grip (unless it's an AMD-65) Other ones are debateable. |

it's too late he's dead Jim. sorry. thought it was GD. That looks like a standard but stock. Just get a stock for a European AKM, that will fit. The EE has some Romy stocks ussually. whats a standard price for a stock new? New? Nothing on an AK is ever NEW. I don't know. I mostly buy used stuff. |

The AK 12 was done right. I think it was designed with the new stuff mind, rather than being an attempt to make new stuff work on an old design. There are more improvements to the AK12 than just slapping some rails on it. I would agree with you whole-heartedly. I just wanted to hear 7n6's reasons. |

What country is your rifle's parts from? Definitely get a nice Ironwood Designs AKM laminate set. That would look great on your rifle.
