Quick question for those of you who have been collecting and playing with AK rifles longer than I haveā¦
Has the Tapco G2 trigger always included the axis pin guide tube? I ask because I because I have a FCG here that looks every bit the same as a Tapco FCG, save that the axis pin holes are smaller (precluding the need for the guide tube), and it lacks Tapcoās logo. Iām having camera issues (again), so I canāt post comparative pictures at the moment, but Iāll do so as soon as I can. In the mean time, Iād like to hear any thoughts or theories on the matter. Thanks in advance. -RSM |

Could be one of the old Gordon Tech triggers from before Tapco's purchase of the rights to it? I thought that as well, but having never seen a GT trigger before, I couldn't say for certain. I ended up trying some google-fu to find pictures, but came across only one. By the looks of it, the Gordon Tech logo is raised, so it would be a simple matter to grind it off without otherwise affecting the FCG's dimensions. However, I Googled "Bulgarian AK Trigger" as well, and found numerous pictures showing FCGs with the same GT/Tapco-style design, albeit full-auto versions. So, I'm guessing this trigger I have here is Bulgarian, but with the full-auto bits removed. I sure was hoping that this was an American FCG, though. Would've saved me a few bucks on future 922r conversions. -RSM |
