I have a Red Star adjustable trigger in my Ak74. I love the trigger and think that it feels great. I'm looking at AR's and I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with both the Red Star adjustable trigger and the Geissele triggers? If you have experience with both, what is the comparison in how they feel? Is the Geissele better? much better? equal?

Red Star triggers are not made for ARs and Geissele triggers aren't made for AKs. I have owned a few Geissele triggers and they are the best triggers that I have ever tried or used in an AR. The Tapco G2 can be made to feel better than the Red Star unit, but the average user does not possess that level of skill. |

Using both I would say the Geissele triggers are the best for AR15 and Red Star for AK74s. Use G2 for AKMs and Krinks. |

I have a Geissele adjustable 2-stage in my Colt 6920. I like the Geissele better but the feel while shooting is similar. I think it's easier to adjust the Geissele, and it will easily bump-fire if that's what you're into - but it was more expensive if I recall. As others have noted, they're not interchangeable - but I consider them in the same class for each platform. I run Tapco G2s in the 47s, and they're damn fine for the money. |
