I just installed one on my saiga 5.45 conversion and can't figure out the old leaf sight spring and new replacement pin. I removed the old rear sight, left the spring steel in place but the new pin will slide right through the block and come out the other side.
what am i doing wrong?
thx

Seems weird, I had so much tension on mine that it doesn't move anywhere. Is your old sight spring touching the bottom of the pin at all?

When I replaced my AK rear sight with a Mojo peep aperature one I googled up hot to do it and followed that, worked out great but it isn't an easy task.

If the pin slides through underneath the spring, you need to press the spring down, while pushing the pn through. (Most likely)
If the pin slides through over the top of the spring, your spring is kaput, and frankly, I wouldn't much worry about it.

thx guys but i messed up. i didn't notice that the spring actually slides into the block slightly thus allowing to create a spring board. now all is good.
thx again
