After years of owning many AR-15s, 1911s, 22s, 30-06s, etc, I finally decided about two weeks ago to add an AK-47 to the collection. After much research I decided that I wanted two of them. One milled Arsenal with a 16" barell, and one stamped AK pistol to turn into an SBR.
Well last week, I found a nice brand new SA-93 on gunbroker.com, and snagged it. While it was in the mail, I ordered everything I needed to add rails to it from Ultimak, a bunch of Magpul stuff, adapters from www.riflestocks.com to put the Magpul stuff on the gun, a Dog Leg Scope Rail Gen 2, and an Eotech 556 with 3x Flip to side zoom lense. (I decided to put Eotech with zoom on this gun, and save the Aimpoint Micro for the SBR.) The gun showed up Tuesday, all of my Ultimak stuff showed up on Wednesday as well as the Magpul stuff, and my items from riflestock.com just showed up a few hours ago today on Friday. I'm still waiting on the 14x1 LH Die to come in to mount the PWS Muzzle Brake, the Dog Leg Rail and Eotech with zoom to mount on it, but I wanted to post up pictures of what I got done today =) I'm REALLY liking this gun, and I'm ordering a Drakov Pistol Monday to do the exact same stuff to except Aimpoint instead of Eotech and start the whole SBR process.....ugh. This gun just looks so much meaner than even my badest AR-15s...such a great weapon, and I can't wait to fire it in a few days. Got 1000 rounds of Silver Bear coming in on Monday =). Thanks for all of the help on this great forum guys!! http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/DSC00828.jpg It's not sighted at all lol...doing that on Wednesday before mounting the Eotech. http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/DSC00829.jpg http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/DSC00830.jpg |
| Haha...collegeboy is just a name that stuck. I use it on ALL internet forums. I'm actually graduated and have had a "career" for a while now. However, after being out of school for a while, I am actually going back to medical school in a year, but that doesn't count. |

| Where ever I get accepted really. I did good on the mcat and had good grades in college. I'll get in somewhere, just don't really know where. Ideally, I'd like to go the campus in Oahu, Hawaii. I'm from Kauai, and that'd be a great way to get back over to the islands, since that's where I plan on practicing anyways. The gun laws there do suck a little, but it's still way more relaxed than California. Nothing like here in Texas though :( |

Collegeboy, I like your Milled Bulgie. I would suggest that you get a tool to help with the AK.
It's the Campy Sight Tool, from Red Star Arms. It cost $20, and it make Removing and Re-Installing the AK Rear Sight SOOO EASY, for when you get your Texas Weapon Ststem Gen2 Dog Leg Scope Mount. Chief |

hahaha...you guys are too funny. Well if it makes you feel any better. I am on the lookout for a preban legit Kalish for a "reasonable" price. If I can find one (no hurry), that baby will be kept 100% stock. |

I have a pre ban polytech spiker, like new..... But you wont like the price... Believe me, no price can really bother me, but I want to do a lot of research to really see what the most collectable AK47 there is out there to buy and keep 100% original before I get one. I am very new to these guns after all. |

All I had to do was push done on the post of the rear site with a screw driver with a towel over it to keep it from scratching the gun and it popped right out. Is my gun special? |
