I notice that Carolina Shooter Supply has bullet guides for Saigas for roughly $10 less than Dinzag.  However, they don't have .223 guides listed.  Do they make them for .223?  What is the difference between a guide by dinzag and one from CSS?

Of course, I'd rather not pay for one at all, so if anyone has a spare just laying around and would like to clean out you junk drawer...

You can make your own out of a piece of 4140 steel tubing, cut in half and trimmed to fit (there are several threads on this). However, I would go with Dinzag's because I can always depend on them working and they come with "Dick and Jane" simplified  instructions.

If you go on the cheap or make your own (this is not an expensive part) you will spend $500.00 in frustration when you are on the range and you rifle does not feed properly and $5,000.00 in frustration from you friends every time the rifle FTF when they make fun of you.

I seen that as well.  The ones they have listed are for the 5.45x39(flat trunnion).

In fact if you type 5.56 in to the web address after deleting the 5.45, the same webpage comes up.

I like the looks of the BG too:

Anyone used one of these?

BTW, I made one for my round trunnion .223 Saiga out of a chunk of 1/2" black iron pipe and works flawlessly.  It did take a couple hours to get it shaped just right, but I have about 1000 rounds through it since the installation with no problems at all.
