Does anyone have one of these? I'm wanting to do an AK-105 and was wondering if these have a Russian or Bulgarian FSB and barrel. I can't tell from the pictures, but it looks like they just stuck a Bulgarian barrel and FSB combo on a regular SGL-31.
Any info is appreciated. |

I'm SBR'ing it and converting it to a 105 this summer. Here is an older thread on this, with picture. |

It would be nice. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to find a SLR-105 and have a Bulgarian FSB/GB combo installed along with a 4.5mm folder, or buy an SGL31-94 and have the Russian FSB/GB combo installed. I'm still trying to decide which will be the less PITA to do. Everyone seems to think that the SLR-105 is the better rifle, so I'm kinda leaning in that direction. |

Yeah, I was waiting on a 105 clone too, and then got tired of waiting. They've made CR and UR models in 5.56 and 7.62...not sure what the hold-up is on a 5.45 model. But you can rest assured that since I bought a SGL32, they will come out with a 5.45 CR or UR model.

I got the Russian 104/105 site and cone, about to order an SGL 31-84. I already have 2 poly's. The bulgy's are nice also. Can't see a reason not to do both  |

haven't really decided yet. Keith @ TAC47 is a friend of mine, and he's my 1st choice, but he doesn't do engraving. I want selector markings and everything. Mario @ POH is my 2nd choice, but his quote isn't cheap, but I've seen his work 1st hand and it's top notch. I'm also contemplating Chris Butler or even Troy Sellars. My AKSU is a Troy built AK and it's top notch also. Waiting on my tax refund before I do anything, so I have a few weeks yet to decide. It may just boil down to who has the least back log. |
