...with a SAR 2. Waited forever to find something like this for a decent price and I think it finally paid off. Got it locally from a really old dude into military guns. Its got a PSOP (correct me if I'm wrong) 6x42 illuminated scope obviously side mounted. It originally came with all the tan Tapco stuff you could stick on it but luckily he kept the wood. Its really dark brown and hard to capture in my crap cell phone pics but in person its dang nice. Got the gun, scope, extra furniture, 3 bakelite mags and nice case for 450. Tell me what you guys think, I'm debating dropping the scope for a ultimak style mounted rds.

Is that the real deal muzzle brake or is it the pressed on and spot welded US part?
I did the same thing as you. I waited for an intrac or sar 2 to come up. One came up in my area. I was willing to pay 475 because I thought it had the original Romanian brake on it. Good thing I went and looked at it first because it didn't have the real brake and getting off the press on was out of my league so I had to send it to a gunsmith. I ended up buying the gun for $400. But to me the key for these guns is if they have a Romanian muzzle brake on them, which seem to be unobtanium to get as an after market part. AKUSA's copy is great but pricey. ETA: But with all of the extras you got, I think you did good. I wouldn't call the package a $600 value but a $550 value. |
| I looked at the muzzle attachment and in the usual places where the squiggly ports are there are not, its holes I believe (at work currently). In the last pic you can see a shiny spot thats where it looks like it was recently threaded so I'm guessing that means it doesnt have a authentic brake. |
