| I had a 74 but had to switch cause of bullet deflection issues. I shot bare for a long time, now have a slant and love it. I dont notice anything different single shot, but when shooting fast, the slant is far superior to the bare barrel, as we see. Cool vid, thank you. |
| Cool video. I tried something similar with my AK74 using no device, a bulgarian style flash hider, and the regular 74 brake. I couldn't tell the difference at all on a 74, but on a 47 it would be more noticeable. |

| Great video! Great job!! I saw it and it helped me make my decision. I bought Bulgarian 74 brake you use w/ the thread adapter and put it on my 10/63. I compared it at the range w/ the slant brake and got the same results as he did . Quite a difference between the two brakes. The groups w/ the 74 brake were surprisingly tighter too! |

The video is interesting, thanks. I appreciate that it isn't 1/2 crap that should have been edited out. I bought my WASR-10 just after the ban was lifted, so it had a plain unthreaded barrel and no bayo lugs. I threaded the muzzle and put on a Tapco slant brake, which seemed to me to help a lot with the muzzle rise, and I thought it helped with the recoil too. I installed a Blackjack buffer at the same time as the slant brake, so I'm kinda wondering what's going on. Is the buffer helping more than people say, or is the slant brake actually helping with recoil? I put a Tapco AK-74 type brake on my Tantal. I'll have to give that a try on the WASR and do my own test, just for my own personal knowledge. I guess I should try it with the buffer, and without the buffer back to back too. |

Try a blind test: Have a friend remove and install the buffer without your knowledge. See if you can accurately tell whether the buffer is in place from the recoil. |

I removed the last 1/2" of the 'brake, so that it was just a ported device, not 'brake' on the end. It dramatically reduced the backblast and noise from the AR. I don't have an unmodified brake to compare it to, but, I like it much better without the brake portion. Muzzle climb is controlled, and I am no longer deafened if I shoot it without hearing protection while hunting. TRG |

Or is there no diff in their structure? theres is a big difference.the tapco brake is an easy to machine break, that is not going to work as well as the real one. the real deal brake is much harder and more expensive to make. with a big expansion chamber, and vent holes. not to mention it requires the correct FSB to go with it |
| Had the WASR out with the Tapco AK74-type brake this past weekend. Back-to-back I couldn't tell much difference between the slant brake and the AK74 brake. However, after 140 rounds with the AK74 brake, I wasn't lighly bruised and tenderized like I was last time after 3 mags with the slant brake. So there's definitely a difference. |

FSC47 pronto!
I see a future in your reviewing muzzle brakes...... My FSC47 just arrived and I need to get it on my X39 Saiga, but first must cut the FSB and thread the barrel. I have an SLR I can record video with at 1080 as well......will post without FSC47 and with FSC47 soon. Stay tuned. |
