| Hi all, I want to put a folding stock on my WASR. I can say this, the tapco is a no go for me. I was wondering if there was a way to add a triangle stock with out making the latch mods to the receiver . So my mind wondered and found a possible solution. if I bought an ACE internal block and added a triangle folder this would work right? I was kind of heading towards a Khyber Pass look. Any thoughts? |

I've never heard of anyone making an ACE block work with a triangle folder. They look completely different in pictures. With enough work I'm sure it could work, but I don't see the cost being worth it at all on a WASR. I'd get the FSE fixed stock that is made to look just like the triangle folders and call it good enough. |

The wire stock looks great with the polish style fore grip. Nice WASR I think I will keep this option in mind. thank you

So I take it you are not into the wire folder that would be more at home on a romanian wasr? like my wasr older pic she is in a different outfit now http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee97/akuser47/somegunpicsaug222007002.jpg this is what she looks like now. these stocks are still around they will mount to the rear tang solid and lock up by it's own locking mechenism in the unit itself. no per. mods to rifle the ones I have seen for sale now do not have the same button as mine but they are basically the same. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee97/akuser47/100_0808.jpg |

If you are talking about the one that has a 3"+ block sticking out of the back of the receiver when folded, I agree. No thanks. I would much rather any fixed stock over that thing. |

Because of the design they are about 2 inches longer than a regular stock... wouldn't be comfortable at all for me. They've been around for years now, I don't know of hardly any people who actually have bought them. |

I wrapped mine in paracord so you can add cheek weld ti it by wrapping with anything you got. I would look at what you like and the lengths they are measure your current stock and add the difference the triangle folder adds that you found and see if you think you will like before you buy. |

3 in ? dang, I never seen them on a AK,perhaps this is why. Quoted:

I think I'm going this route. I don't want a 3in block on my AK. Quoted:

| The one mistake some make when adding the folder like mine is you can not use your standard stock screws you need to get metal stock screws and will probably have to size one to get it short enough. easy to do I am just letting you know cause they do not come with the screws most the time. I think years ago I had to ask here to find out the thread pitch as I don't remember the metric type of screw or pitch of it. someone should know this still. You have to be careful with your 922 compliance as well like makeing sure you use whatever american parts you can like mine the gas piston trigger group and mag followers and springs, floor plates I use are us so I don't get into trouble if big brother stops by to visit. This is the only downfall to using original stocks but well worth it to me. |

Standard metdic pitch for that size screw, available almost anywhere. The foriegn/US parts count remains the same. |
