What are a good pair of shooting gloves to protect from the heat?

Get a solid pair of mechanix at lowes or home depot.

Work great and can be had under 20 bucks.

"Mechanics" brand gloves seemto be pretty popular. I've even seen the nomex style aviation flight gloves used too.

Surplus Nomex flight gloves, about $10.
Or fancy new ones @$30.

Or any thin leather glove, tactical or not.
Look for Hatch on sale.

Mechanix gloves do work pretty well for shooting gloves with mild heat.

But don't try grabbing a hot suppressor.  They will melt.

I like the Blackhawk SOLAG gloves with Kevlar.  Aviator gloves work too.  Neither have melted on me yet either.

I think these are pretty good, I have a pair that I used for riding and shooting, they are designed for road rash so they hold up pretty good to heat, and the reinforced knuckles are a plus! I love mine!!

I've got a set of Icon riding gloves from when I did a lot of dirt biking. they have rubber strips in the finger pads and very breathable cloth on the back, along with screens mounted in rubber above each knuckle and on the back of the hand. I will try to find some pics...     they work VERY well for me when shooting in hot or cold weather! and I think they were only about $20-25ish..

Just pick a set of gloves and roll with it, no need to get fancy. As long as the material does not melt, or at least the liner portion, you're good to go.

Nomex flight gloves are the best or you can buy a pair of 5.11 Nomex flight gloves from LA police gear for like $4.95 or something like that on sale...
