Now they need to offer saome different color options for us that really want to step out of the bounds like Talo did for mark III pistol grips I would like a funky earthwood or red-orandge mixup. I love it looks like qaulity. This is what I have been looking for for a stock replacment on my sam-7 I wish they had some for milled recivers and in bleached birch but they look great!

I might go for that on an AK as well simply because I've already gone there on one of my ARs. Dan Konrad did some red laminate for my RRA Predator Pursuit. Definitely not for everyone, but I love it. Dan does extremely high quality work and I get lots of compliments on it at the range. Pics don't do it justice, looks much better in person. http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz359/Liquidmetalpics/AR%20Pics/b8b75878.jpg http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz359/Liquidmetalpics/AR%20Pics/3e98354f.jpg Looking at the same old thing gets pretty boring after a while, gotta be willing to think outside the box once in a while... bad azz looking |

How would one go about doing the black by themselves. Don't get me wrong, The Timber smith wood looks awesome, but right now 110 is expensive when I still need some other stuff for the rifle.
I did a basic polyeurothane(spelling) on mine, but I would like to go with the black. Any tips? |

It looks American to me Here's mine on a build in progress ak54r http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n269/iamg0ku/CIMG1780.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n269/iamg0ku/CIMG1778.jpg That, sir, is totally badass. I think I'm going to sell one of my ARs and get one of those AK54s. That wood looks great on it. |

Are there any plans for these to be make to fit milled receivers, like a SLR 95 by chance? Tapco has a forum right here to ask (and a thread already underway about the new wood): http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=70&t=190217 I hope they get the pepper laminate (what they call black) straightened out. Every other one I see looks like it has the mange - tan streaks/blotches in it. The grip on one of the AKs above doesn't even match the handguards or stock, since it has so much brown in it where it looks like the black/gray dye didn't take effect. I like the idea, and I like the brown laminate's uniform look, but I wish it had AK74 shape to it. |
