1- Where can I find a reasonably-priced AK-74 style front sight base with 24x1.5mm muzzle threads?

2- Would I have to open up the gas port if I cut a 7.62x39mm WASR barrel back two inches? If I have to open it, could someone point me in the right direction for size?

I want to cut my WASR-10 barrel down two inches and pin/weld an AK-74 style muzzle brake on to get it up to sixteen inches.

Make sure the diameter is correct for your rifle.

My SWAG is no.
If I were to do this, I'd have the barrel cut and try the rifle. If I ran into problems, then I'd think about opening the port.

It states that no pins/springs or other parts are included. What else do I have to buy with it?
