| Well they managed to stick it in my ass too many times during this process of receiving my rifle. As many of you know about this company and there business practices I did not . I did a short search of lancaster and at the time found nothing wrong with this company. so I ordered their finest ak 47 a polish milled underfold with the stainless barrel. Now keep in mind Ive never ordered a firearm online from a company or anyone for that matter. At the time of the purchase back in mid febuary I was told this rifle would be in my ffl dealers hands in 3-4 weeks ,now even though Ive never ordered a firearm from anyone I figured that seemed a little quick but I took ole Chets word for it. after about 4 weeks i called on the status and was told they had a batch of bad receivers and they would ship this gun in about another week. I was ok with that being that i figured it would take longer anyway. But after calling again I started to get the run around about it being test fired or being media blasted this happened about 5-6 times then finally I got pissed off and they tranfered me to Chet. He told me that they actually had polish rifles built, but were having issues with the bolt and bolt carrier and that the gun they could send was not a numbers matching gun anymore. I told him thats not what i payed for and he agreed and and asured me that if I waited another 5-7 days he would have a working numbers matching gun for me ,being that he just got a new batch of polish kits in from a new supplier and said that they were in great shape and that it would only take him 3 days to produce a functioning rifle. He explained the process of assembly would take basically no time at all, and then they would test fire it to make sure it operated properly, then media blast it , gun kote it, then install the furniture. He also told me to contact him on this matter and to deal with him personally ,well that was bullshit because you cant reach Chet unless your loud enough to some lying jackoff to get him on the phone. Now looking on the internet more i found this site and I saw some of the posts people were making about this company and I must say im not surprized at all. So after 4 months of not getting answers ,being bullshitted,hung up on, being transfered,being put on hold and hung up on. Ive done the best I can do and have tried to be as understanding as a person can be when it comes to receiving my rifle. So I have contacted the attorney general in the state of AZ and have filed a complaint as I know some of you have done. I have also filed a complaint with the bbb of AZ on this matter. I hope this will either light a fire under there asses or that I can get a full refund well see. Be aware people dont fuck up like I did. |

sorry to hear about your problems with Lancaster. I am surprised that you did not find any or much info on Lancaster as you stated. Several had to take the route you are taking. I have even posted my Letter from the AG for others to reference the File # so they know at the AG's Office that this is an ongoing scam and a big problem. I sure hope you are able to get your Rifle or at this point you are better off to take your money back. If you paid with CC than you should start a charge back perhaps. But do for sure send the AG a letter and let them know.

That rifle will have the much touted lifetime warranty. You will need it.
| I dunno, I think I'd feel much safer for the people around you if Lancaster did not return the rifle to you. Although, that impression is purely based on the people skills and mental stability displayed in your posts and the "fuck you too" attitude you are proud to possess. |

10 Ill chime in here. I spoke with Lancaster about 2 weeks ago. It could have been Chet or maybe not...Little harsh on the language if that's any clue. I would look at other legal resources. You have proof you sent the money correct? I'd say Lancaster is guilty of mail fraud? Anyone wanna chime in here? It's a shame because you look at the rifles on there site and they are very appealing to the eye. And remember we are here to help you the best way we can....We can be sarcastic shit's sometimes but we're here to help!  |

I know it's not a lot of money compared to a fridge or a tv, but when you purchase a firearm there is a lot of emotion involved. You're using a builder to acquire a weapon the way you envision it in your mind. There's a little anxiety and trepidation when you use someone for the first time. Like most people you're anxious to get the finished product as soon as possible. The builders need to be aware of this. Yes they may have 40-50 other bulds going on, but as far as you're concerned they're only building your rifle and they need to be more aware of this.
I had a simoilar problem with a Galil SAR build through Dave at Elite. It was a mess and he was a dick, but I finally got a nice rifle even if it didn't come back with everything it was supposed to. I hope you receive your rifle soon. |

| im sure your right ar15 being us made have there shit together. aks being originally made by many foreign countries i dont think these companies have the proper tooling causing proplems and set backs, but for the record i like both rifles and think they both have great attributes to the shooting community |
| I think the AK has more problems because they are built. AR's are assembled. Any Joe off the streets can assemble you an AR for a few bucks with little experience and no fancy knowledge. An AK requires knowledge, tools, and the ability to actually use them properly to get right. Not that one is really any better than the other, but AR's are made by production line workers, AK's are made by gunsmiths. It's just the way things are. |

When they tell customers that their orders will be shipped in 2-4 weeks, they know damn well that they're not going to ship the rifle that fast. But it doesn't stop them from lying all the same. And then, Chet comes up with a new excuse every time. "We got a bad batch of receivers." "The CNC machine is broke." "The dog ate your AK". Gunplumber was right...Chet Durda is a pathological liar who couldn't tell the truth if he had to. I fully expect Lancaster to just shut down one day, with no notice or warning. They'll just quickly disappear, as if they never existed. I'd bet money on it. There's just no way in hell their business is sustainable given the way they're currently running it. |

I hope you receive your rifle soon. What I have found, is that this is waaaayyyyy too prevelant in the AK world for some reason, IMO. Not so much with AR builders/companies. I think it might be because AR's are much simpler to assemble and AK's require more specialized tools and equipment. I would consider AR's to be "erector set" guns and more home build friendly, where AK's are more of a "skill required" or "build from scratch" gun and if you mess something up(which is easier to do) you're done. I'm not saying that AR's aren't good rifles, just much easier to assemble. You don't need bending jigs and presses and a lot of specialized equipment. You just buy a pre finished lower and all your parts needed and assemble. |

Cost me a little money BUT money I could afford and money well spent! Lancaster is just a bad memory for me now - and that's all they ever will be. Fool me once - shame one you. Fool me twice - you won't get the chance...........
