How hard is it to put a scope rail on a AK? If its not much trouble I'd like to add one to my SLR-95 which does have a milled receiver. Where would I be able to purchase the rail for it?

Here it the one I have currently, but I dont like it, it was a cheap fix for me and now I wish I would have paid a little more and got this one! I am going to switch it out for the dogleg one as soon asd I get the funds approved from the wife!

Thanks James but I'm talking about the scope rail not a mount. My rifle does not have a scope rail and I'd like to add one if they aren't to hard for a dummy like me to install.

Are you talking about the Scope Rail that the mount goes on? If you are, Im not sure how hard it would be! I dont think it would be that hard though!

Don't use that cheap Chinese rail on milled Arsenal.
This one is better.
This rail fits either AK or SVD mount.

Thanks Richard. How hard are they to mount?

These rails are riveted to the receiver parallel to centerline of the bore.
Have a professional AK gunsmith install it.

Chris Butler, one of the best AK builders, told me it's not easy to install side rails correctly within specs.
Arsenal Inc. rivets rails within +/- .005".
Chris installs them within +/- .002".
