I have a SSR-85-C 7.62x39. The front sight post is so loose that it changes the zero when I shoot. Is there a better fitting post to replace it with or use LOCKTITE. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about the threaded part, you can screw it out and place it on a piece of metal and tap lightly on the threaded area just a small amount.  This will disrupt the threads just enough to make them tight.  To much and it wont go back in.  Do the hitting in the center of the sight only on one side.  Just don't over do it.  Do a small amount and try it for fit.  Once you have a fit you like take it out and shoot it some and see if it stays put.

When I replaced my front sight post with a match grade one, I had the same issue. My solution was to force the blade of a screwdriver up in between the 'legs' of the threads to spread them out ever so slightly. It's worked so far, no migration that I can tell.

Have you taken it all the way out and inspected it?

Could be the post or windage drum is stripped.  Try to remove the post and spread it some?

If you need a replacement I have a couple of extra post and windage drum sets from work I have done on some rifles for people.

Be cheaper than ordering from K-VAR or Apex.  AA-OK.com has the cheapest I have seen................  Don't know what their shipping cost is though.

I could send a set out for $10.00 shipped which would include delivery confirmation.
