I coulnt find an answer for this question so hopefully you guys can help me out. If you are using 2 American made parts in the mag for compliance(Follower and floor plate) does the mag have to be in the weapon all the time for compliance or just when you take it out to shoot it?

I ask this because I'm going to de-bann my SA-93 and use a Iron wood stock set and hopefully a k-var follower and floor plate for compliance. I want to try to keep the bulgy FCG it is smooth as glass and an awsom trigger.

No the mag doesn't have to be in the rifle at all times, but you would need US parts in every mag you insert into the rifle.

Thank you for the reply MAK, all I have are bulgy waffle mags and plan to change out all the followers and floor plates on all my mags just to be safe. Thank you again.

Remember that the rule does not specify the number of US made parts. The rule limits the number of foreign made parts to no more than 10.

The day that Congress repeals the requirement that firearms be suitable for or adaptable to "sporting purposes" in order to be imported.

In other words, don't hold your breath.
