I dont really need help putting my bolt back together - I bought a NEW firing pin from east germany from k-var... rather I got the "bolt refresher" kit they sell. Well their "kit" looks like it has the standard flat firing pin, so I got it... and what I got and just realized is that I have a round firing pin except for 3 flute/lightening cuts along the body of the firing pin with a round end instead of flat.

Ive heard of some rifles being spring loaded w/ their firing pins - my m70 isnt one of those... will this pin work or should I not install it?

Here is the pin on kvars site: german firing pin. Im having trouble finding pictures of the spring loaded firing pins so I have no idea what I have.

Disclaimer:  I'm not an AK expert.

The M70 and most AK's do not have a spring-loaded firing pin.  They look very different.  They have a bulbous end.  This is the best picture I could find:

Many Chinese AK's have them.  I have a couple of Polytechs that use them.

You should be fine but I'm not 100% certain the East German and Yugo are interchangeable.  Make sure the firing pin moves freely when you shake it back and forth.

What happened to the original firing pin?  Is the East German one just for back-up?

It fits in there ok and doesnt stick. On mine the tip was kind of mushroomed out it seemed. I got the whole kit since I needed the extractor and spring - mine has erratic extraction/ejection - some are going forward and some are going directly sideways; some far and some not so far. Just going to see if this all helps it out.

I used that exact EG firing pin in my Romanian WASR for a couple hundred rounds just to test function. Worked without a hitch, and it is now my "spare" firing pin.

Me too. Used the KVAR EG FP on my WASR 10. Worked great, and it's far better than the original one.
